Description:
This painting depicts hypertrophy cardiomyopathy. In particular, it highlights the left ventricular outflow obstruction through the abnormal thickening of the heart muscle. My source for this painting was an actual dissected heart, and I think that is what gives the painting such a haunting beauty. The painting was done on hot press watercolor paper and will come matted in a white archival mat and framed in a custom 3/4" black wood frame with a satin finish.
