On a more personal note, this watercolor painting of a sunflower is the product of a breadth of emotion with nowhere for it to go but onto paper in the form of paint strokes. Often, when I don’t know what to do with my feelings and despair, I paint. It’s my outlet and my happy place. This painting is for all of Ukraine, all of those still there and those that now call themselves refugees. The sunflower is Ukraine’s national flower however, it’s also become a symbol of solidarity for the country due to recent events. The hearts of everyone at Lyon Road Art are with you!
