The Bright Spine

The spine. Eesh, what an important structure in the body. Protecting the spinal cord? That's no joke. Which is why I wanted to do it homage. I chose a bright palette, as I painted this with my physical therapist sister in mind, and she loves a bright color palette. (I call them summer colors... nice change during this chilly time of year). I used a lot of wet on wet with this painting as well. A particular challenge was maintaining the intensity of the color while still using this wet on wet technique. I combated this with a lot of careful layering. Hope you like!
